Step by step process

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Ensure the hole is clean, dry and free from oil, dust and grease.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Remove the Polycell Plug It Polyfilla from the packet and cut off a strip. Remove the protective film from both sides of this strip and then knead it - make sure you wear suitable gloves. It may help if you wet the Polyfilla with a little water.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Once it is uniform in colour, push into the hole using a flat bladed tool until it is fully filled. Polycell Plug It remains workable for up to 4 minutes, which should give you ample time to remove any excess material and ensure a flush finish.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Pick a screw that you want to use to re-attach the curtain rail and insert it centrally into the Polyfilla. Screw to around half-way using light finger pressure. This will create a pilot hole.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Leave the screw in place to set for one hour, then use a screwdriver to carefully remove it. Hold the curtain rail in place, replace the screw and fully tighten. Polycell Plug It Polyfilla can support hanging objects of up to 30kg.
